On Sunday, there was an encounter between Hawkforce and Naxalites during anti-Naxal operation in village Koddapar, Kundal forest area of ​​outpost Songudda under Rupjhar police station of Balaghat district. Jawan Shiv Kumar Sharma was seriously injured in the police-Naxal encounter. Due to police retaliation, the Naxalites took advantage of the dense forest and ran away.

On the instructions of Chief Minister Dr. Yadav, Director General of Police Sudhir Saxena reached Gondia Hospital and Balaghat by helicopter on Monday to take stock of the health of jawan Shiv Kumar Sharma, who was injured in the Naxalite encounter in Kundul forest area. During this period, ADG Intelligence Yogesh Deshmukh and IG Law and Order Anshuman Singh were also present. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav also spoke to the doctors over telephone and gave instructions to provide best treatment to the injured soldier and assured that the state government would bear the full medical expenses.

Immediately after the incident, Chief Minister Dr. Yadav spoke to the doctors on telephone for the treatment of the injured soldier and instructed them to provide all possible treatment. The Chief Minister also made it clear that the state government will bear the entire treatment of the jawan and the state government stands with his family.

Government’s resolve to stand with security forces

DGP Sudhir Saxena, ADG Intelligence Yogesh Deshmukh and IG LO Anshuman Singh held a review meeting of the incident with officials of CRPF, Cobra, and Hawkforce in Balaghat. Discussed in detail about anti-Naxal operations and problems. He praised these soldiers who worked with courage and dedication despite difficult circumstances and boosted their morale. The DGP said that the success of security forces in such risky operations is the result of hard work and strategy. In the last five years, security forces have killed 20 prominent Naxalites and arrested 6 Naxalites worth Rs 1.52 crore.

Monitoring the treatment of injured soldier

After the review meeting, DGP Saxena reached United Hospital in Gondia, where the injured soldier is undergoing treatment. While discussing with the doctors, he took information about the treatment process of the jawan and instructed them to provide the best treatment. Besides, it was also told that the Madhya Pradesh government is completely with the jawan and his treatment will be done by the state government.

After the incident, DGP Saxena expressed the government’s strong commitment towards the police force and said that the state government always stands with the soldiers. After talking to the family of the soldier, the DGP wished for the speedy recovery of the soldier Shiv Kumar Sharma and assured that the government will support him in every possible way.
