Mumbai: In a recent development regarding the ‘gaddar’ dispute involving Comedian Kunal Kamra and Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, devotional artist Kanhiya Mittal shared a video on his X page in which he takes a musical jab at Kunal Kamra, showing support for Eknath Shinde in this issue.
In a recent video shared by devotional singer Kanhiya Mittal on his X page, the singer is seen lipsyncing to a parody he created with the song ‘Bholi si surat’ to humorously criticize comedian Kunal Kamra regarding the current controversy surrounding his special ‘Naya Bharat’. In this special, Kamra musically roasted various politicians and businessmen, including Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, whom he referred to as ‘Gaddar’ in the parody song derived from ‘Bholi si surat’.
The X post captioned, “#kunalkamra सम्मान करोगे सम्मान मिलेगा रिक्शे वाला थाने से बुलडोज़र लेके आया @mieknathshinde @Dev_Fadnavis @kunalkamra88”, translating to, ‘if you give respect you’ll gain respect rickshaw from Thane has brought bulldozer with him’ indicating his support for Eknath Shinde and the vandalising that followed at the Habitat Comedy Club venue where the Comedian had performed the stand-up special.
Devotional singer Kanhiya Mittal performed a parody of the same song used by Kamra to roast Sinde, ‘Bholi si surat’ in his video, holding a glass of water and drinking from it while lip-syncing to the parody he created that poked fun at the Comedian. The video opens with “Kangana ka toota, tab tu hassa tha, Karma ko bhoge Kunal Kamra,” indicating that the comedian took pleasure in the demolition of Kangana Ranaut’s house by BMC, yet is now heard lamenting about the BMC demolition in Habitat, claiming it is a form of Karma for Kunal Kamra. The singer continued by lipsyncing, “Gaali galoch se hassane wala gaali hi khaye Kunal Kamra,” suggesting that the Comedian, who uses foul language in his performances, deserves to be insulted, Kunal Kamra. In the subsequent stanzas, the artist mentions ka rickshaw wala Thane se bulldozer laya and samman dega toh samman milega, samajhle Kunal Kamra by the video’s conclusion.
Who Is Kanhiya Mittal?
Kanhiya Mittal is one of the youngest and most renowned devotional singers in India. He turned into a viral phenomenon due to his hit religious song, “Jo Ram Ko Laayen Hain Hum Unko Laenge.” Originating from Rajasthan, this young artist grew up in Chandigarh. In 2020, he was honored with the “Divya Samman” award for being the top devotional singer. Kanhiya began managing his education, teaching, and singing at the young age of 12. He has been pursuing his passion for devotional music for the past 18 years.
Recently, Kanhiya Mittal made headlines by expressing his desire to join the Congress, stating that he has no issues with the BJP. It was reported that he intended to run for the Panchkula seat in the Haryana Assembly elections. On September 4, the BJP revealed its first list, naming Vidhan Sabha Speaker Gian Chand Gupta as the candidate for that same seat.
