The university will review these objections through a committee before issuing the final answer key. Officials have announced that the DET results will be declared by January 10. As many as 213 candidates out of the 260 registered participated in the DET, conducted on December 22 for 13 subjects, including applied mathematics, applied physics, applied chemistry, data science, computer engineering, statistics, energy, pharmacy, mechanical engineering, instrumentation, electronics & instrumentation, electronics & telecommunication and IT.
The provisional answer key was uploaded on December 31 and candidates were given three days to submit objections. Each objection must include details such as the name of the book, author and relevant page.
A fee of Rs 200 per question is required for raising objections, which can only be submitted online. Email or written submissions are not accepted. DET in-charge Dr Ashesh Tiwari said that a three-member committee would evaluate the objections, after which the revised final answer key would be released.
The result declaration process is expected to take 7-8 days. The DET consisted of two papers: research methodology and a subject-specific paper, each containing 50 questions. The total exam was worth 100 marks, with one mark awarded for each correct answer and no negative marking for incorrect responses. Candidates had to score at least 50 marks to clear the exam.
