Deoria Bypass: A big step towards making traffic easier and promoting local economy

An important and commendable step has been taken to get rid of road traffic jams in Deoria city of Uttar Pradesh. 4500 farmers have received compensation

4500 farmers affected for the construction of Deoria bypass have so far received a compensation of Rs 335 crore. However, compensation has not been fully paid. A compensation of Rs 145 crore is still yet to be given to 1500 farmers. After the compensation process is completed, the construction work of the bypass is estimated to begin from June 2024. The tender process for this project has been completed in 2024 and now steps have been taken towards the commencement of work.

Problem of hours jam in Deoria city

The problem of traffic jam in Deoria city has become a daily talk, especially on festivals and special occasions. Citizens have to face troubles for hours due to the jam. The construction of Deoria bypass was being demanded for many years, which the government has now approved in 2023. The construction of this bypass will get rid of the jam and ease of travel.

Way of bypass

The new bypass will start near Sirjam Khas on the Gorakhpur-Deoria road and pass through several major villages on the Deoria-Salempur road, including Itwa, Betalpur, Balua, Bari, Gaura, Bhimpur, Gobarai, Dhanauti Khurd, Kusmaha Belwa, Rampur Khurd and Pagra alias Parasia. With the construction of this bypass, the residents of these villages will get better connectivity and the pressure on the main routes of the city will be reduced.

Construction of Deoria bypass will not only solve traffic problems, but the economic condition of the area related to it will also be strengthened. Getting better connectivity to traders and farmers will increase their commercial activities. Apart from this, this will also have a positive effect on the environment, as this will reduce the problem of air pollution caused by traffic jams.
