Delhi: The city has experienced humid weather for the past few days, resulting in a slight increase in temperatures. However, today, temperatures are expected to drop by 2 degrees Celsius, with a minimum temperature of around 8 degrees Celsius and a maximum temperature expected to reach 21 degrees Celsius.

According to the Indian Meteorological Department, the minimum temperature in Delhi may rise again starting January 28. From January 28 and January 31, the minimum temperature is likely to range from 8 to 10 degrees Celsius.

Today’s weather forecast

The weather department has issued a warning for dense fog during the morning and night hours in several parts of India, including Delhi. The Air Quality Index (AQI) is expected to reach 208, indicating poor air quality in the city and its surrounding areas. Warnings have also been issued for Bihar, Odisha, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, and the northeastern states, except Arunachal Pradesh.

During this period, visibility is likely to be significantly reduced, so the weather department advises cautious driving. According to the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD), an AQI of 208 means that the air quality is unhealthy and can lead to breathing-related issues, especially for senior citizens, children, and individuals with heart disease or asthma.

The weather department forecasts that the minimum temperature will be around 11 degrees Celsius, while the maximum temperature is expected to reach 24 degrees Celsius on Tuesday, January 28.
