Material required to make Rajma-Matte Tikki:

  • 1 cup boiled Rajma
  • 1 cup boiled peas
  • 1 small carrot (grated)
  • 1 small boiled potato (grated)
  • 1 small finely chopped onion
  • 1 teaspoon finely chopped ginger
  • 2-3 green chillies (finely chopped)
  • 1/4 green onion (finely chopped)
  • 2 teaspoon roasted gram flour
  • salt to taste
  • 1/2 teaspoon chaat masala powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon garam masala powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper powder
  • 2 teaspoons finely chopped coriander
  • Ghee or oil (to fry)

Method of making Rajma-Matte Tikki:

  1. First of all, boil peas, rajma and potatoes separately.
  2. Peel and grate the carrots and boiled potatoes.
  3. Finely chop onion, ginger and green coriander.
  4. Put boiled rajma in a large pot and mash it well. Then mash the peas as well.
  5. Now add onion, potatoes, carrots, salt and all spices and mix well.
  6. Make tikkis with this mixture.
  7. Heat the ghee on a pan and roast the tikkis until golden and crisp.
  8. Garnish the tikkis with green onion and serve hot with green chutney.
