Delhi is experiencing heavy rainfall, prompting the India Meteorological Department (IMD) to issue a red alert for the city and surrounding areas.
Residents of the city are experiencing waterlogging and traffic jams due to heavy rainfall on Saturday.
Severe waterlogging situations were reported in Moti Bagh, Delhi Cantonment, Minto Road, and Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay Marg.
Trees were also uprooted in many areas, including Akbar Road, due to the storms and heavy rainfall in the city.
Waterlogging incidents were also observed in Dhaula Kuan, ITO, Subroto Park, Chanakyapuri, leading to traffic congestion.
The IMD has advised individuals to steer clear of open areas, refrain from seeking refuge under trees, maintain distance from fragile walls and unstable buildings, and avoid proximity to water bodies.
Power outages were noted in multiple locations throughout the capital after a severe dust storm, which was succeeded by thunderstorms, hail, and rainfall affecting parts of Delhi.
