New Delhi: In a shocking incident, a 28-year-old man was allegedly beaten to death inside a private bus by its driver the conductor and their helper. The victim was thrashed for spilling his food on the seats of the bus, reported The Times of India. A rod was also inserted inside the private parts of the 28-year-old man, the police said.
The incident took place inside a private RTV bus in Delhi’s Bawana on February 1. The accused later dumped the man’s body near Bawana flyover. The victim has been identified as Manoj. he used to work as a cook at wedding functions.
According to the TOI report, Manoj, along with his co-worker Dinesh, was coming back from a function in Sultanpur Dabas. They reportedly packed some leftover food after finishing their work and boarded the bus.
However, Manoj accidentally spilt some food on the seats and the floor of the bus. This angered the driver of the bus. The accused allowed Manoj’s colleague to get down at the Bawana CHowk but prevented the victim from deboarding the bus. The driver, along with his helper and the conductor, then abused and thrashed the man.
They later threw his body out of the bus. In the postmortem report it was revealed that Manoj had sustained internal injuries and also wounds on private parts, reported the media house. Meanwhile, the police ruled out any sodomy attempt. One person has been detained.
A case has been registered against the accused under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nayay Sanhita (BNS).
