Ghaziabad, 19 November (HS). The Indirapuram police station on Tuesday has exposed a criminal gang whose leader is an advocate. This advocate used to practice in the tough Dooma Court of Delhi and initially he used to get bail for criminals. Later he became the leader of this gang. Police have arrested three vicious chain snatchers including the kingpin. These also include the goldsmith who used to buy goods from criminals. One chain of yellow metal related to snatching, a total of Rs 32,900 obtained from selling the snatched goods and one motorcycle used in the incident have been recovered from their possession.
ACP Swatantra Kumar said that among the arrested accused are Balram resident of Nand Nagri Delhi, Shashi Nand Nagri Delhi and Ravi Soni resident near Balaji Mandir Chaman Bihar police station Ankur Bihar. He told that the accused Balram is a law graduate and also practices law in Kad Kad Dooma Court. He told that he used to get bail for criminals, but later he took command of the gang.
Balram told during interrogation that by changing vehicles, they cause incidents of snatching of chains and mobile phones of women and persons walking on the road in Ghaziabad and Delhi NCR area. We have also carried out many incidents in Indirapuram area. Due to which we were trying to run away by turning the motorcycle after seeing the police checking.
