Delhi Budget 2025: Today, on 25 March 2025, Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta presented the state’s annual budget, the total amount is Rs 1 lakh crore. This budget is the first budget of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Delhi government and the vision of “developed Delhi” has been given priority. This budget focuses on major areas like education, health, infrastructure, environment and women empowerment. Allocation in education sector
A large amount has been allocated for the education sector in the budget. CM Rekha Gupta said that Rs 20,000 crore has been allocated to increase the level of government schools in Delhi and provide quality education to poor students. This amount will be used for construction of new schools, improvement in infrastructure of existing schools and recruitment of teachers. In addition, a plan to distribute smart classrooms and tablets has also been announced to promote digital education.
Relief for health services

Development and transport of infrastructure

Women Empowerment and Safety
Rs 10,000 crore has been allocated in the budget for the safety and empowerment of women. This amount will be used on free bus travel, loan for self -employment and training programs for women. In addition, there are plans to ensure the safety of women by increasing the number of CCTV cameras in the city.
Environment and hygiene
8,000 crore rupees have been allocated to reduce pollution and make Delhi clean. This includes cleaning the Yamuna river, planting trees and setting up recycling plants. Chief Minister Rekha Gupta said that it is his dream to make Delhi a ‘Green City’.
Other important announcements
For farmers: Rs 5,000 crore for development and irrigation of agricultural land.
for youth: 7,000 crore rupees for skill development programs to increase employment opportunities.
For senior citizens: Increase in pension scheme and free pharmaceutical facility.

Government will start 100 Atal canteen
Rekha Gupta also focused on the common people while presenting the budget of the financial year 2025-26. The Chief Minister said that the government will start 100 Atal canteen. He allocated Rs 100 crore for this. With this, common people will get food grains at cheap prices. He said that millions of people in Delhi live in slums. The government will try to improve the lives of such people. For this, he announced an allocation of Rs 696 crore for slum development.
