Exit polls for the Delhi assembly elections have started coming out, and so far 8 exit polls have predicted BJP’s bumper victory. Prominent survey agencies such as P-Mark, Chanakya Straitzes, Matries and Peoples Insight have predicted the BJP to get a clear majority.
However, some surveys have also claimed the return of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP). According to the exit poll of Mind Brink and Vipressid, Arvind Kejriwal can return to power for the fourth time.
Exit polls figures: Who ahead?
Mind brink exit poll:
- AAP: 44-49 seats
- BJP: 25-29 seats
- Congress: 0-1 seat
Vipressid exit poll:
- AAP: 46-52 seats
- BJP: 18-23 seats
- Congress: 1 seat
The results of these exit polls are shocking, as the BJP claims to have a clear majority in other surveys.
Will speculative market estimate be accurate?
Interestingly, Phalodi Satta Bazaar has predicted a thorn collision in Delhi. According to him,
- Both AAP and BJP can get 34-34 seats,
- While Congress and other parties can be reduced to 2 seats.
Big agencies made distance
This time many big survey agencies have kept distance from exit polls. One of the major reasons for this is the wrong predictions of exit polls in the previous elections.
- All exit polls in the Haryana assembly elections had estimated the victory of the Congress, but the BJP won the results.
- In Maharashtra elections also, questions were raised on the accuracy of survey agencies, due to which the Election Commission objected to them.
Now everyone’s eyes are on the results coming on February 8 whether exit polls will prove to be the BJP’s bumper win, or AAP will form the government again in Delhi.
