Government and private offices will be closed in Delhi

The Delhi government has declared a public holiday on 5 February.
The offices will be closed to give government employees a chance to vote.
This order has been issued under Section 25 of Negotiable Instruments Act, 1881 and Section 135-B of the Representation of the People Act, 1951.

Schools and colleges will also be closed

All government and private schools and colleges will have a holiday.
Many schools will be used as polling stations.

Cinema and liquor shops will remain closed

The cinemas and theater can also remain closed during the voting, so that more and more people participate in the voting.
Liquor shops and bar will be completely closed from 3 February 6 pm to 5 February 6 pm.
This ban has been imposed as per the instructions of the Election Commission.

Haryana government also gave paid leave

Not only in Delhi, but also the Haryana government has announced to give PAID Leave to its employees, so that they can participate in voting.

Employees of Noida and Gurugram will also get leave

If an employee is a registered voter of Delhi but works in Noida or Gurugram, he can ask for leave from his employer.
It is mandatory to leave for voting under Section 135-B of the Representation of the People Act, 1951.

What to do if the company refuses to leave?

If a company refuses to leave, it will be a violation of election laws.
According to Section 135-B, all registered voters of the state should get paid leave for voting by their employers.
If an employee is not discharged, he can file a complaint with the Election Commission.

Voting will be held in 70 assembly seats in Delhi

Voting will be held amid tight security for 70 assembly seats in Delhi.
The Election Commission has taken all necessary steps to ensure peaceful voting.
This time too, the main contest will be seen between Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and Congress.
The AAP won an overwhelming majority by winning 67 seats in 2015 and 62 seats in 2020.
This time the election is also likely to be tough and interesting.
