Election ground ready, 1.56 crore voters will decide
The atmosphere of high-stake assembly elections in Delhi has become hot. This time the election is going to be a competition between Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and Congress. AAP is trying to return to power for the third consecutive time, while BJP and Congress are trying to get back their lost land.
699 candidates are in the fray for 70 assembly seats in Delhi, and more than 1.56 crore voters will exercise their franchise, which will work to give a new shape to the political scenario of Delhi.
AAP, BJP’s challenge to return to power in an attempt to win for the third time
Under the leadership of Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, AAP is trying to form the government for the third consecutive time on the basis of welfare schemes and development works of its previous term. On the other hand, BJP has been out of power for the last 25 years and this time is making a strategy to strengthen its hold in Delhi.
Congress credibility at stake
The Congress (1998-2013), once ruled for 15 consecutive years on Delhi, failed to win a single seat in the last two elections. This time the expectations of the return of the Congress are attached, but it has to be seen how many seats it can win.
