New Delhi, 1 October (Hindustan Reporter). On the 92nd anniversary of the Indian Air Force, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh on Tuesday flagged off the ‘Vayu Veer Vijeta’ car rally from the National War Memorial. With this, more than 50 air warriors including women have left for Thois in Ladakh. All of them will set out on an expedition to Tawang in Arunachal Pradesh, covering a total distance of seven thousand kilometers through nine states and Union Territories (UTs). The former Air Force Chief will also participate in various stages of the car rally at various places.

On this occasion, Defense Minister Singh praised the air warriors who served the motherland with bravery, dedication and patriotism in difficult circumstances. He said that the Indian Air Force has made significant achievements in protecting the country and its people. It is capable of giving a befitting reply to the country’s enemies by penetrating deep into their territory. The Central Government is committed to equipping the Indian Air Force with the most advanced aircraft, platforms and making them more capable through the ‘Atm.rbhar Bharat’ initiative. The Defense Minister said that during the car rally, the Air Warriors will interact with the youth in schools and colleges of various states and union territories.

Rajnath Singh extended his best wishes to the air warriors who will be a part of this rally which will pass through difficult and diverse terrain. The ceremonial flag hoisting will take place on October 8 at Thoise, one of the highest air force stations in the world at 3,068 meters above sea level. The air warriors will stop at Leh, Kargil, Srinagar, Jammu, Chandigarh, Dehradun, Agra, Lucknow, Gorakhpur, Darbhanga, Bagdogra, Hasimara, Guwahati, Tezpur and Dirang before concluding the rally at Tawang on October 29. The objective of the rally is to increase awareness among the people about the glorious history of the Indian Air Force, the valor of the air warriors in various wars and rescue missions and to attract the youth to serve the motherland.
