Indore (Madhya Pradesh): Defence Minister Rajnath Singh will arrive in city on Sunday en-route to Mhow. After arriving, he will go to Mhow, where he will attend various programmes. Singh will stay overnight in Mhow and will go to Ujjain on Monday morning. He will return from Ujjain to the city in the afternoon and leave for Delhi.
During his two-day visit, he will visit the three major centres of the Army- MCTE, Army College and Infantry School- as well as the Infantry Museum and Army Shooting Range. Army chief Upendra Trivedi will also be with him.
Secretary of the Ambedkar Memorial Committee said that defence minister Rajnath Singh and army chief Dwivedi will come to the memorial site and pay tribute to Baba Saheb on Sunday at around 1 pm. On Sunday, Singh will reach the helipad built in the Army War College by helicopter. On reaching Mhow, he will visit Ambedkar Memorial at 1 pm.
At the memorial, he will first shower flowers on the big statue of Dr Ambedkar, after which he will garland the small statue and then go to the Asthi Kalash Hall. He will worship Buddha after seeing the Asthi Kalash and see the murals made there. He will visit all the institutions, including Army War College, Infantry Museum, and Military College of Telecommunication Engineering throughout the day. Cleaning and other works have been done at the memorial in view of the visit of the Defence Minister.
