When you have a bank account, you will also use the debit card clearly. In such a situation, many times your debit card gets spoiled due to wearing or the debit card does not work properly. Sometimes the cards are damaged when old. There is no need to worry about this. You can apply to replace your debit card in some simple ways. Let us discuss these methods here.

Through Netbanking

If you need to change your damaged or broken debit card, the easiest and fastest way is to apply through net banking. Log in your NetBanking account using your customer ID and password. After logging in, you can go to the bank card section. Choose the debit card you want to change. Next, you can request replacement and choose the address where you want to send your card. The request is accepted by the bank, and a new card is sent to your registered address within a few days.

Mobile banking is also a good platform

If you want, you can use the bank’s mobile banking app instead of your debit card. You can request this by logging into your mobile banking and going to the card menu. After requesting, your bank will process it and issue replacement debit cards. The bank will send it to your registered address.

Through customer service

According to HDFC Bank, if you are a technology-lover person, you can directly contact the bank’s customer service to change your debit card. Contact the customer service officer and request to change your debit card. The executive officer will accept your request, and if the request is approved, the bank will send a new debit card to your registered postal address.

You can request this by going directly to the branch

If you are having trouble in netbanking or mobile banking, do not worry. You can get a new debit card by going to the nearest branch of your bank. Meet the relationship manager at the branch and ask for a new debit card. You can also request immediate debit cards in the branch. You will be given a debit card immediately. The card will be linked to your account but it will not be your name. Alternatively, you can request a new debit card that will be sent to your registered postal address within a few days. Understand one thing, the bank can charge a small fee from you to change the debit card. When the card is issued, this fee is directly deducted from your account.
