Deadly Speed Bump On Pune-Bangalore Highway Near Borgaon Spark Outrage — Locals Fear Fatal Accidents, Demand Urgent Action |

On the lane going from Karad to Satara on the Pune-Bangalore National Highway passing through this area, dangerous asphalt speed bumps (elevations) have been created near Borgaon in Satara Tehsil, due to which there is a fear of accidents.

Especially when there is already a speed breaker near the Borgaon bridge on this highway, the newly created asphalt elevations next to it have started causing accidents. There is a demand for the immediate removal of these elevations and for necessary measures to be taken.

While travel on the National Highway is becoming as fast as it is dangerous, the work of widening the highway is underway within the limits of Borgaon village. Therefore, drivers are already having a tough time. In addition, the asphalt bumps are making the journey even more dangerous. Drivers going from the Karad side to the Satara side on this highway are facing difficulties. Due to the deterioration of this road, asphalt bumps and uneven patches have formed, which has created a high risk of accidents at this spot.

Many two-wheeler vehicles are slipping at this location, and while passing through, these bumps are scraping the lower sides of four-wheelers, leading to vehicle damage. Due to these asphalt bumps, it has become very difficult for two-wheeler riders to drive safely. If a two-wheeler slips at this spot, the rider could end up under a large vehicle coming from behind.

It is being demanded that the concerned department should seriously consider this issue, immediately repair the area, and put an end to this risk to people’s lives.
