Rohtak, 2 October (HS). DC and District Election Officer Ajay Kumar and Superintendent of Police Himanshu Garg took stock of various polling booths in the city. During this, he inspected all the necessary basic facilities at the polling booths and gave necessary instructions to the concerned officials. He said that officials should ensure facilities like electricity, water, adequate lighting, toilets, ramps and furniture etc. at the polling booths as per the instructions of the Election Commission of India. District Election Officer Ajay Kumar and Superintendent of Police Himanshu Garg visited Jain School in Mata Darwaja area in the city, Jat Dharamshala located in Babra Mohalla, Gaur Brahmin School and College, Lal Nath Hindu College, Vaishya Sansthan near the railway station and Public Health on Jhajjar Road. Inspected various polling booths including the engineering office premises.

During this, he carefully inspected the polling booth, electricity, adequate lighting, voting compartment space, doors and windows. DC and SP also inspected the bowling booths from security point of view. During this, he instructed the concerned officials that citizens should not face any problem in casting their vote on the voting day on October 5. In such a situation, facilities like electricity, water, proper lighting and ramp should be ensured at all the polling booths. Along with this, while installing the voting compartment, it should be kept in mind that the secrecy of voting is maintained.

He said that arrangements should also be made for adequate seating space for the agents of the candidates. Strict and concrete arrangements have been made by the police administration to conduct it peacefully and impartially. Citizens do not need to be afraid in any way regarding voting. There will be tight police security at every polling booth. The police administration is fully alert to deal with any untoward incident. To prevent criminal activities, checkpoints have been installed at necessary places in the district. The vehicles are being thoroughly investigated. Deputy Superintendent of Police Ravi Khundia and other concerned officers were present on this occasion.
