Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): The days are getting warmer and nights feel cold in Madhya Pradesh during February end. The night temperatures in Bhopal and Jabalpur are hovering around 10-11°C.
Weather expected on Wednesday
On Wednesday, (February 26), a rise in daytime temperature is expected, however, some districts may experience cloudy weather. This Maha Shivratri, there are no predictions of rain.

What do meteorologists say?
According to the India Meteorological Department, Bhopal, temperatures are expected to rise further from Thursday, by 2 to 4 degrees.
Meteorologist Pramendra Kumar Raikwar said that February often sees multiple Western Disturbances, which lead to such temperature fluctuations. However, there is no forecast for rain.
The Western Disturbance and Cyclonic Circulation systems are currently active, causing fluctuating temperatures. This pattern is expected to continue on Wednesday, but from Thursday onwards, both day and night temperatures will rise.

Weather expected on Thursday
On February 27, both day and night temperatures are predicted to increase and remain higher for the next couple of days.
Night temperature records
For the past four days, cold weather has persisted across the state, with some cities recording temperatures below 10°C. On Monday-Tuesday night, temperatures were recorded at 8.8°C in Girwar (Shajapur), 9.5°C in Anwari (Ashoknagar), and 9.9°C in Kalyanpur (Shahdol). Other cities, including Bhopal, Jabalpur, Rajgarh, Umaria, Khajuraho, and Mandla, also reported low temperatures.
Several cities in Madhya Pradesh, including Bhopal and Jabalpur, are experiencing a cold wave as night temperatures have dropped below 12°C. The state’s only hill station, Pachmarhi, along with Khajuraho and Mandla, is also witnessing chilly weather.
