Indore (Madhya Pradesh): In a first, Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya (DAVV) has announced the examination timetable nearly two months in advance offering students ample time to prepare. This move is expected to ease stress and allow better academic planning for students.
According to the schedule, exams for first-year students of traditional courses like BA, BCom and BSc will be held from June 2 to July 24, while second-year exams will be conducted from May 1 to June 25. Around 1.20 lakh students from a dozen courses will take the exams which will be held on the scheme of National Education Policy (NEP)-2020.
DAVV officials believe that releasing the timetable well in advance will help students organise their studies more effectively. “Many a time students complain that they did not get ample time to prepare as the gap between the declaration of timetable schedule and exam remains less. This time, we declared the timetable well in advance providing clarity and sufficient time for students to focus on their preparations,” exam controller Ashesh Tiwari said.
Students have welcomed the DAVV’s initiative expressing relief that they now have a clear timeline for their exams. Many believe that this early announcement will reduce last-minute pressure and improve overall performance. With this progressive step, DAVV is setting a precedent that other universities may follow ensuring a more structured and student-friendly approach to academic planning.
