The principal has been dismissed after this incident. On Wednesday, after the video of a student taking the exam on the stairs of the school premises went viral, a police team led by Additional Superintendent of Police Srishti Singh of Polachi started an investigation into the case.

 

Sought a reply from the education department officer

After the video went viral, the officials of the School Education Department have sought clarification from the management of the school at Senguttopalayam in Polachi in the district. Education Minister Ambil Mahesh Poyyamozhi said that departmental inquiry has been done against the school and the principal has been dismissed. On social media platform X, the minister said that no atrocities against children will be tolerated.

 

The student’s father said that on behalf of the school, we were asked to arrange a separate table and chair for the examination. However, the school did not make any arrangement and our daughter was asked to sit on the stairs outside the classroom. The student sat on the stairs for more than two hours. During this time, he was also suffering severe stomach pain.
