According to exclusive information received by CNBC Market from sources, the government can take an important decision for the dairy sector in today’s meeting. Today, crores of farmers related to dairy business can be given relief by increasing the scope of Rashtriya Gokul Mission.
This step will prove to be helpful in increasing milk production in the country. Along with the increasing population in the country, the demand for milk is also increasing continuously and the government has launched several schemes to deal with it, one of which is the National Gokul Mission. Under this, many facilities are being provided to farmers to promote good breeds of livestock.
What is Gokul Mission?
The Gokul Mission was launched in December 2014 for the development and conservation of indigenous breeds for dairy farming. The scheme was launched to meet the increasing demand for milk and make milk production a profitable business for farmers. Under this scheme, several steps have been taken to improve the breed of animals involved in milk production, improve their health and milk business of farmers.
This includes research development with IVF technology, IVF laboratories, breed multiplication forms, conservation and development of indigenous breeds, skill development of farmers, schemes and its benefits awareness and innovation.
