In a heartwarming display of patriotism, players from Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) came together to pay tribute to the Indian Army’s recent action under ‘Operation Sindoor’ ahead of their IPL match. The gesture involved singing the national anthem, showcasing the players’ respect and admiration for the armed forces.

The Indian Armed Forces in the early hours of Wednesday launched Operation Sindoor in retaliation for the April 22 Pahalgam terror attack targeting terror launchpads in Pakistan and Pakistan-Occupied Kashmir (PoK). A total of 24 strikes were carried out across nine locations were targeted. Among these locations was the terrorist group Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) chief’s headquarter, known as Markaz Subhan Allah in Pakistan’s Bahawalpur.

The joint effort by CSK and KKR players to sing the national anthem is a testament to the spirit of unity and patriotism that transcends team affiliations. This gesture serves as a reminder of the importance of respecting and honoring those who serve the nation.

This patriotic gesture by CSK and KKR players is a wonderful example of how sports can bring people together in a show of respect and admiration for the nation.
