Today, January 2, 2025, the National Testing Agency (NTA) will close the registration period for the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research-University Grants Commission National Eligibility Test (CSIR-UGC NET 2024). If they haven’t already, interested and qualified candidates can visit the official website today to complete the CIR NET December 2024 application form. The application deadline was originally set for December 31, 2024; however, it was later moved to January 2, 2025.

Last date to pay the fees: January 3, 2025
Correction window: January 4 to 5, 2025
Eligibility criteria:
Candidates must be Indian citizens.
Junior Research Fellowship (JRF): The upper age limit is 28 years.
Relaxation of up to 5 years for SC/ST/OBC/PwD and female candidates.
Lectureship (LS)/Assistant Professor: There is no upper age limit.
Candidates must hold an MSc or equivalent degree with at least 55% marks (or 50% for SC/ST/PwD candidates).
PhD holders who completed their master’s degree with at least 50% marks before September 19, 1991, are eligible only for lectureship positions.

Step 1: Go to csirnet.nta.ac.in, the official website.
Step 2: From the homepage, select the “CSIR NET December 2024 Registration” option.
Step 3: Complete the application form with all of the relevant information.
Step 4: Upload all required files and pay the application fee.
Step 5: Download and take a printout of the CSIR-UGC NET 2024 December Registration confirmation document for your records.
