Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): Chief Minister Mohan Yadav has said that the best practices adopted in in Prayagraj and Haridwar Kumbh Melas will be followed in Simhasth to be held in MP in 2028.

Yadav made the statement at a meeting held with the members of the cabinet committee set up to handle the work related to Simhastha, on Tuesday.

Yadav said crowd management system, drone survey and AI, used in Kumbh, would be put into practice in Simhastha. A sum of Rs 1, 451 crore has been sanctioned for 56 works to home, urban development, tourism and culture departments, he said.

Yadav further said that the officials responsible for various works related to Simhastha should review the progress of work at every fortnight. On the other hand, the construction-related work should be weekly reviewed, he said, adding that the works which are delaying should be brought to the government’s notice.

Yadav further said that the work of getting approval from the cabinet committee and completing the process for floating tenders for all the infrastructure work, which generally takes more time than other work, should be done by March this year.

Yadav further said that a special cell should be formed to coordinate with the railways so that there might not be any problems for devotees visiting Simhastha. The cabinet committee gave approval for upgrading Hotel Maharajwada the Heritage, Grand Hotel, Kshipra Residence and Hotel Ujjain.

The committee also gave its nod for upgrading tourism facility centre in Mandsaur and development of passenger facilities in Indore, Ujjain, Omkerashwar and Maheshwar under Omkereshwar Circuit Development. Approval was also given for upgrading Narmada resort (Maheshwar), Choral resort (Indore), Naveen Hotel (Omkareshwar) and Hotel Avantika (Ujjain).
