The local crime branch of the Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar rural police busted a gang that used to rob residents on the Paithan to Pachod Road by threatening them with sharp weapons.
According to the details, on January 7, around 8:30 pm, constable Ravindra Ratnakar Ambedkar of the Pachod police station was riding his motorcycle when four individuals on motorcycles stopped him near Kadethan. They threatened Ambedkar with sharp weapons and robbed him of his gold ring, cash, and mobile phone. A case was registered at the Pachod police station.
Under the guidance of SP Vinjaykumar Rathod and additional SP Sunil Lanjewar, the local crime branch initiated a parallel investigation. During the investigation, it was found that notorious goon Pradeep Bhausaheb Eslote (23, Bhaygavhan, Ghansavangi, Jalna) and his three accomplices were involved in the robbery.
The police team arrested Pradeep, and during interrogation, he confessed that he had robbed several people on the Paithan – Pachod Road. The police are searching for his accomplices.
The police action was carried out by PI Satish Wagh, API Pawan Ingale, Namdev Shirsat, Vitthal Doke, Valmik Nikam, Gopal Patil, Shivanand Bunge, and others.
