Chest pain started while batting
On 28 November, a cricket match was being played between Lucky Builders and Developers and Young XI at Garwar Stadium. Imran Patel was the captain and opening batsman of the Lucky Builders team. While batting during the match, Imran suffered severe pain in his chest and arm.
Death occurred during live match
In the live match, Imran Patel informed the umpires about chest pain. After which the umpires allowed him to leave the field, but while going towards the pavilion, Imran fell unconscious on the field. Seeing this, his teammates ran to him and took him to the hospital, but the doctors declared him dead.
Family and friends in shock
Imran’s friends and teammates are shocked by his demise. Imran was an all-rounder and was extremely fit as a player. Imran is survived by his wife and three daughters.
