Mumbai: The special NDPS court on Monday convicted a 47-yearold farmer from Udaipur after he was found in possession of 293 grams of opium.
The court sentenced him to the minimum punishment of three years in prison and imposed a fine of Rs 50,000, considering his existing health condition as an HIV patient. The accused was apprehended at Goregaon bus depot on August 11, 2011.
