RRB Group D 2025: The application correction window for the Group D recruitment 2025 is going to close today, March 13, 2025, by the Railway Recruitment Board (RRB). RRB Group D Recruitment 2025: Number of vacancies
The RRB is carrying out this recruitment campaign to fill 32,438 Level 1 jobs under the 7th CPC Pay Matrix. The positions are dispersed across different departments:
1. The Traffic Department has 5,058 openings for Pointsman-B positions.
2. The Engineering Department seeks 799 Assistants for Track Machines, 301 Assistants for Bridges, and 13,187 Track Maintenance Workers.
3. The Mechanical Department is looking to fill 2,587 Assistant (C&W) and 3,077 Assistant (Workshop) (Mechanical) posts.
4. The Electrical Department is looking for 1,381 Assistant TRD, 744 Assistant Operations, and 1,041 Assistant TL & AC posts.
5. There are also 624 openings for Assistant TL and AC (Workshop) positions.
6. The S&T Department has 2,012 Assistant posts, with 420 Assistant Loco Shed (Diesel) and 950 Assistant Loco Shed (Electrical) vacancies.
RRB Group D Recruitment 2025: Selection process
The RRB Group D selection procedure consists of three phases: a computer-based test (CBT), a physical efficiency test (PET), and document verification, followed by a medical assessment. Applicants who complete the CBT will be selected for the PET. Those who pass the PET will next proceed to document verification and the necessary medical assessment.
