On the special occasion of Valentine’s Day, Prateek and Priya got married in a private ceremony in their home in Bandra, which only attended close friends and some family members.

• When Prateek was asked why his father and family did not attend this marriage, Priya intervened in the middle and said:
  “We don’t want to talk about it. This is not our place. All this exists online. If people want to know, then they should go to the past and read the articles that were written at that time. Only then make some comments on it, which can affect our special day.”

It is clear from this statement that Prateek and Priya do not want to give much air to this issue and are happy with their decisions.

Priya also made it clear in the interview that this dispute does not matter to her because Raj Babbar never was a part of Prateek’s life.

• He said:
  “No one has any right to comment on it. If the symbol and I have been silent about it, then it is just due to respect and dignity. We have no need to talk about it because we are happy.”
  “People are saying that we did this to someone, but the truth is that that family was never ours. That person (Raj Babbar) was never in our life. Then after 30 years, why is this question arising now?”

It is clear from Priya’s statement that she does not want to give any clarification about the absence of Raj Babbar in her and symbol’s life.

Amidst this entire controversy, Prateek took a big decision and changed her name to ‘Prateek Smita Patil’.
