Gwalior (Madhya Pradesh): A controversy arose within the BJP over an event for the unveiling of a statue of Jiwaji Rao Scindia at Jiwaji University in Gwalior on Sunday.
The issue started when local leaders, including Gwalior MP Bharat Singh Kushwaha and Gwalior Mayor Shobha Singh Sikrwar, were not mentioned in the invitation.

When Minister Tulsi Silavat was asked by local media regarding the names of Gwalior MP Bharat Singh Kushwaha and Gwalior Mayor Shobha Singh Sikrwar were missing from the event, he said that he will see that later and moved to another question.
Notably, Jiwaji Rao Scindia was the ruler of Gwalior during the British Raj and later the Rajpramukh (Governor) of the Indian state of Madhya Bharat. He was the Maharaja of the princely state of Gwalior in central India from 1925 to 1947.
