The incidents of attack on police in Bihar are not taking the name of stopping. After Araria, Munger and Madhubani, police were now targeted in Bhagalpur. Some miscreants pelted stones at the police team, which arrived at around 7 pm on Friday evening to calm a quarrel. 4 policemen including Sub-Inspector (SI) were injured in this attack. A video of the incident is also going viral on social media.

Dispute started due to children’s quarrel, stones rained on police

It is being told that the dispute started with the mutual quarrel of some children. The families of the children also clashed with each other and the men and women started to dispute with both sides. Local people reported the incident to the Antichak police station.

The police team reached the spot and was trying to reconcile between the two sides, when some mischievous elements suddenly started throwing ballast-stones at the police. On seeing this, along with the children, the elders also joined the stone pelting and started targeting the police.

Seeing the situation being uncontrollable, the police team had to run to save his life. Police vehicle was also damaged in this attack.

Four policemen injured in attack, hospitalized

A sub-inspector (SI), three soldiers and a watchman were seriously injured in this attack. All were immediately admitted to Kahalgaon Hospital, where they are undergoing treatment.

Regarding this matter, Police Station Ashutosh Kumar said that an FIR has been registered against 24 nominated and 15 unidentified people on the statement of deputation magistrate Sanjeev Chaudhary.

Police have started raids in the area after this incident and are identifying the accused. According to the information, some attackers were drunk, the police is also investigating this angle.
