A container toppled at Cadbury Junction in Thane on Thursday night, with no casualties reported. The incident occurred at around 10:30 PM when the container, heading towards Nashik Road from Thane, overturned while negotiating a turn. This led to a traffic jam in the area for about an hour.
Locals promptly alerted the traffic police, who rushed to the scene to manage the situation. A crane was called in to remove the container from the road. The clearance operation took approximately an hour to restore traffic flow.
DCP Pankaj Shirsat of the Thane Traffic Police stated, “Our team rushed to the spot after receiving information. With the help of a crane, the container has been removed, and traffic is now moving smoothly.”
