Uma Thomas is an MLA from Thrikkakara assembly constituency in Kerala. He reached Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Cochin on the evening of 29 December. A dance program was organized here, in which he participated as a guest. Kerala Culture Minister Saji Cherian also attended this program. Uma Thomas was heading towards the VIP gallery to welcome Saji Cherian. Then he bumped into the cue manager at the side of the stage. Due to which he fell about 15 feet.
At present he is admitted in Renai Medicity Hospital. Dr Krishnan Unni Polakulath, medical director of the hospital, later spoke to the media.
