Congress spokesperson Shama Mohammad is facing tremendous trolling on social media after a comment made on Indian cricket team captain Rohit Sharma.
Rohit’s fans are seen narrating him fiercely on X (Twitter). A fan tweeted an old video of Rohit Sharma, in which he rained sixes off the balls of Australian fast bowler Mitchell Starc. Written in the caption of this video:
“Ask Mitchell Starc about Rohit Sharma’s fitness, Madam!”
Actually, Shama Mohammed had described Rohit Sharma as fat in a post on social media and also questioned his captaincy. After this, he was severely criticized in both cricket fans and political circles.

Fans descended in support of Rohit Sharma, said- not tolerate insult!
One user wrote: “Rohit Sharma’s fan following is not only in India but also in Pakistan. Such body shaming and derogatory remarks will not be tolerated. ”
Another user shared a meme with Rohit Sharma’s World Cup Trophy, in which he is seen teasing Shama Mohammed.
The fans also reminded that Rohit Sharma has performed tremendously in the ICC tournaments as captain.

Shama Mohammed posted delete, Congress also reprimanded
Shama Mohammed posted this disputed post on the X (Twitter) late on Sunday night, in which he wrote that Rohit Sharma is fat and not as captain as captain.
He also said that Rohit Sharma, Sourav Ganguly, MS Dhoni and Virat Kohli do not stand anywhere.
However, he deleted the post after the fans’ outrage.
- On Monday, the Congress party reprimanded him and advised him to avoid such comments in the future.
- Congress media chief Pawan Kheda clarified that this is Shama’s personal opinion and the party does not agree.
