Congress national president Mallikarjun Kharge on Modi government : Alleging, “The central government is working to weaken the Right to Information Act in the name of data security.” He said, “The Congress government will not allow the RTI law to weaken and will continue to raise his voice against such efforts from Parliament to the road.”

Mallikarjun Kharge posted on the social media platform X and said that on the one hand India has been at the top of misinformation and misleading information for the last few years, on the other hand the Modi government is trying to weaken the Right to Information (RTI) Act implemented by Congress-UPA by bringing data security law.

The names of fraudulent billionaires should be made public.

The Congress President said that whether it is public sector information such as ration card list, MNREGA beneficiary laborers’ list, names of people involved in public welfare schemes, voter list in elections, or fleeing abroad by taking loans from government banks, the names of fraudbers, all these names are required to be in public domain, but now Modi government is weakening RTI in the name of data security, due to which such names will not be made public.

We will continue the fight against the dictator government.

The right to privacy is a fundamental right and the Congress has fought for it, but where it comes to public welfare, RTI is necessary. The Congress’s right to privacy in RTI was also taken into consideration, but this does not mean that the list of beneficiaries or scamsters should not be made public. The Congress party will not allow RTI to be weakened, we have raised their voice for this and will continue to raise their voice from Parliament to the road. We will continue fighting to protect the rights of people.
