Gwalior (Madhya Pradesh): In a tragic incident, the Congress Working President hanged himself to death in Gwalior, said the police on Friday.
The deceased was identified as Amar Singh, resident of Betel Leaf Ki Goth. He was an advocate by profession.
Madhauganj police station in-charge Prashant Sharma told Free Press, it was suspected that he took the extreme step under the pressure of a court’s order issued against him.
According to information, an FIR was registered against him for preparing fake documents related to land nomination. In this case, he was held accused. He was granted conditional anticipatory bail of ₹1 Lakhs by the High Court.
Daughter found father lifeless
According to information, Amar Singh’s daughter returned from the university, she noticed that her father’s room was locked from inside.
Scared, she called her husband and relatives. His husband immediately left from the shop, and reached home. Meanwhile, a few relatives also arrived.
They broke the door, and entered where they found that Amar Singh’s body was hanging from the ceiling.
Upon receiving the information, the police reached the spot and began the investigation. The police didn’t find any suicide note from the spot.
What was the matter?
During investigations, Son-in-law Keshav told that his father-in-law was upset due to a case being registered against him for which he got anticipatory bail.
In fact, an FIR was registered on the complaint of Dhara Singh, resident of Padmpur Kheria. In the case, a property dealer Sandeep Singh Chauhan was accused of irregularity during land nomination process, along with Amar Singh.
In this case, Sandeep had prepared the nomination documents of about 12 bighas of land through notary Amar Singh. Dhara Singh alleged that the documents were fake, after which Singh was jailed.
Later on, Amar Singh had got conditional anticipatory bail of ₹1 Lakhs from the High Court.
