A meeting led by Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge revealed that the Congress is not in the mood to form any kind of alliance with the Trinamool Congress. It also emphasized on strengthening the state Congress.

Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi was also present in the Lok Sabha in a meeting held under the leadership of Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge. The meeting focused on strengthening the Congress in West Bengal and prioritizing the fight against the BJP. Additionally, he also expressed his desire to take action against those who weakened the party in the state.

Rahul Gandhi posted on social media after this meeting, ‘Today we had an important meeting with Congress in -charge and leaders of West Bengal at Indira Bhavan. The main focus of discussion was to strengthen the party at the ground level and fight for people’s rights. The Congress will fight to give voice to the aspirations of Bengal. Bitterness in Congress and TMC relationships

The Congress high command has decided to work alone in West Bengal at a time when there were reports of bitterness spreading between the Congress and the Trinamool Congress. Earlier there were rumors that the Congress party was going to form an alliance with the Trinamool Congress (TMC) after the removal of Adhir Ranjan Chaudhary from the post of West Bengal unit.
