Congress, BJP Legislators Demand Better Health Facilities, District Hospital And Medical College To Have ‘Hearse Vans’ | Representative Image
Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): Both Congress and Bharatiya Janta Party legislators raised their demands of better health facilities in their areas respectively and also in the state, in the ongoing budget session here on Thursday.
Deputy Chief Minister Rajendra Shukla presented the health budget of Rs 22,233 crore in the assembly. MLA Anubha Munjare raised the issue of a 100-seat medical college in Balaghat and the then Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan had announced the college and the foundation stone of the college had been laid in June 28, 2023.
She asked why no provisions had been given in the budget in 2025-26 financial year. MLA Shailendra Jain demanded to increase the capacity of trauma centre, blood bank, catheterization laboratory in Bundelkhand Medical college. The minister said that the government had increased 9% of the budget for FY-2025-26.
Responding to the concern the deputy chief minister said that the government had increased 9% of the budget for FY-2025-26.He said that a hearse service will begin from April 15 so that the dead body can be sent to its destination with respect. Two hearses will be available in the district hospital and four in the medical college. It will also be expanded as per need.
