Kanpur, 25 November (HS). There is a possibility of light to moderate fog in the sky in the morning in the next five days in Uttar Pradesh, but there is no possibility of rain. The cold is expected to increase from the first week of December. Due to absence of Western Disturbance and creation of cyclonic conditions in the Bay of Bengal and Arabian Sea, the wind direction is not able to remain continuously north-westerly.

Meteorologist Dr. S.N. Sunil Pandey of Chandrashekhar Azad University of Agriculture and Technology, Kanpur, said on Monday that the Meteorological Department has predicted that the cold is expected to increase in the entire Uttar Pradesh including Kanpur from the first week of December.

Weather system across the country

He said that a cyclonic circulation is active in and around Comorin area. A cyclonic circulation is also formed over central parts of Pakistan. Another cyclonic circulation is being observed over eastern parts of Bangladesh.

Due to the active cyclonic circulation over the Sumatra coast and its adjoining areas of the equatorial Indian Ocean, a low pressure area is likely to form over southeast Bay of Bengal in the next 24 hours, i.e. by November 23. This system is likely to move west-northwestwards into a depression over central parts of South Bay of Bengal by November 25.
