New Delhi, 19 November (HS). Public sector coal company Coal India Limited (CIL) was awarded the prestigious Green World Awards 2024, which is dedicated to recognising, rewarding and promoting environmental best practices and CSR across the world. This award has been given to CIL by The Green Org.zation.
Vinay Ranjan, Director Personnel and IR, CIL, received the Green World Awards 2024 at a ceremony held at The Orangerie, Kensington Palace, London on Monday, November 18, the Coal Ministry said in a statement issued on Tuesday. CIL has also been awarded the prestigious Green World Environment Award in the CSR category (Fuel, Power and Energy) as well as the prestigious title of Green World Ambassador.
Vinay Ranjan, Director Personnel & IR, CIL said that this award inspires all of us to take action, protect the environment and ensure a sustainable future for the coming generations. CIL has been given this prestigious international award for its exemplary work in the field of CSR i.e. Thalassemia Bal Seva Yojana, under which Stem Cell Transplant, also known as Bone Marrow Transplant (BMT), through which more than 600 Thalassemia patients were given permanent treatment.
