Mohammed Shami Strict Diet: After being out of action for 14 months due to injury, Mohammed Shami is now going to make a comeback in international cricket through the T20 series against England. The experienced bowler has taken a long time to recover from his injuries, which include ankle and left knee injuries. Shami returned to competitive cricket after representing Bengal in the Ranji Trophy last year. Now Bengal cricket team’s fast bowling coach Shiv Shankar Paul has made a big revelation about him.

Shami was hungry to make a comeback

In an interview he said, ‘Fast bowlers take time to recover from injuries. But he was so hungry to make a comeback that he wanted to bowl even after the match was over. This is great dedication from a player. Some players want to bowl for 30 to 45 minutes after the match. He was also the first player to reach the ground before the team’s arrival at 6:00 am on the match day during domestic T20 matches.

Mohammed Shami left biryani

The fast bowling coach also revealed that Shami has given up his favorite ‘Biriyani’ for the comeback and has not eaten it for the last two months. He ate only once a day and followed a strict diet to get fit again. After this the senior fast bowler represented Bengal in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy and Vijay Hazare Trophy.

Last time Shami played in the final of ODI World Cup

Paul said that Shami is on a strict diet. I have seen him eating only once a day. He loves biryani but ever since he came back, I have not seen him eating biryani in the last two months. Let us tell you that Shami’s last international match was the 2023 ODI World Cup final against Australia. Now the entire team management is hopeful that Shami will make a great comeback in international cricket as well as domestic cricket, because the injury of fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah is still giving tension to the team.
