Narmadapuram (Madhya Pradesh): Chief Minister Mohan Yadav attended the grand celebrations of Maa Narmada Prakatyotsav and Nagar Gaurav Diwas in Narmadapuram on Tuesday. As the chief guest, he performed Maa Narmada’s Abhishek and Aarti at Jal Manch, led by Pandit Somesh Parshai. Prominent leaders, including Public Works Minister Rakesh Singh, MP Darshan Singh Chaudhary, Rajya Sabha MP Maya Narolia, and multiple MLAs, joined the event. Extensive security arrangements were in place across the city, including river ghats and motorboats near Jal Manch.

Skilled divers and SDRF teams were also deployed for safety. The festival commenced at Sethani Ghat with Mangalacharan, followed by a grand procession from Shri Narmada Temple to Sethani Ghat. College and school students enthusiastically participated in Rangoli and Mehndi competitions. To raise awareness about pollution, the Aaradhya team distributed 500 eco-friendly ghee lamps made from flour at Vivekanand Narmada Ghat. This initiative, led by 12-year-old Aaradhya Chaudhary and her friends, aimed to encourage the public to protect Maa Narmada’s purity.

CM launches Rs.316.20 crore devpt projects

On the occasion of Narmada Jayanti, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav inaugurated the Ved Garbha Ghat at Chichot Kuti in Chipaner and launched development projects worth Rs. 316.20 crore. He emphasized the significance of the Narmada River, which irrigates 40 lakh hectares in the state. The projects include the Bhoomi Pujan of 21 works worth Rs. 130.32 crore and the inauguration of 97 projects costing Rs. 185.87 crore. These cover infrastructure, health, urban development, and power distribution.

CM Yadav also announced a new ITI in Timarni and a government-funded cowshed in Gondagaon. Dr. Pappu Ram Vishnoi pledged Rs. 1 crore for Vedic Vidya Peetham Chichot. The event saw participation from key political figures, RSS leaders, and social workers from India and abroad. The Chief Minister lauded the efforts to preserve Vedic traditions and enhance regional development.
