Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis on Tuesday convened a virtual meeting with officials to outline a seven-point action plan aimed at enhancing the ease of living for citizens. However, in a contrasting turn of events, the area around the Mantralaya experienced a massive traffic jam lasting approximately one and a half hours.
During a meeting, the CM addressed divisional collectors, district collectors, municipal commissioners, police commissioners and directors general of police.
Fadnavis provided detailed instructions on the priority tasks to be undertaken by the administration over the next 100 days. He stated that progress on these tasks would be reviewed on April 15, 2025. The meeting was attended by Deputy Chief Ministers Eknath Shinde and Ajit Pawar, along with other state ministers.
Fadnavis directed the state administration to ensure that government office websites are up-to-date and provide information likely to be requested under the Right to Information (RTI) Act.
He also instructed that cleanliness should be maintained in government offices, unnecessary paperwork should be removed, and old or unused vehicles should be deregistered.
To facilitate citizens, Fadnavis directed government offices to ensure the availability of clean drinking water and functional restrooms for visitors. He also emphasized that officials should maintain a presentable appearance during unexpected visits.
Fadnavis further directed the administration to implement at least two improvements or innovative projects aimed at making citizens’ daily lives easier. Efforts should be made to reduce pending cases to zero.
Considering the unavailability of officers in government offices, CM instructed that the availability schedule of officials be publicly displayed to ensure transparency for citizens. To address local issues effectively, he directed officers to resolve problems at the local level to avoid unnecessary congestion at the Mantralaya.
Fadnavis also stressed the importance of ensuring that entrepreneurs face no difficulties while establishing or running their businesses in the state. Division commissioners and district collectors were directed to facilitate communication between officials and entrepreneurs.
The CM emphasised the need for visits to key government projects and schemes at various levels, including schools, anganwadis, and healthcare centers.
