Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): A Class 11 girl allegedly died by suicide after she was gang-raped by two schoolmates in Damoh.
A case has been registered against the accused under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act. Both the accused are at large.
According to the police, the 17-year-old girl was raped by her two schoolmates on Monday and the duo was blackmailing her due to which she took the extreme step.
Her mother complained to the police about the matter. The girl had narrated her ordeal to her mother on Tuesday. She went to school on Wednesday. Her father was to complain to the police but as some relatives came so he postponed the plan to approach the police.
CSP Raghu Keshari informed Free Press, “A case has been registered against the boys under the POCSO Act. They are absconding. Police teams have been dispatched to catch them. We are investigating the matter.”
