Davinder Singh, an Indian immigrant from the US recently, has made a shocking disclosure. He claims that the Holy Turban of Sikhism was insulted at the American Detention Center and was thrown into the dustbin.

Davinder Singh was arrested on 27 January for illegally entering the US. On 15 February, he was sent to India by American military aircraft along with other immigrants.

18 days spent in detention center – painful experience

Recalling his 18 -day custody, Davinder Singh described it as mentally and physically tragedy. They said,
“I saw with my eyes that the turban of Sikh immigrants was being thrown into the dustbin by the authorities. This view was very painful. “

According to Davinder, 60-70 immigrants were placed in a large hall at the Detention Center and were being closely monitored. To keep themselves calm, he and other Sikh prisoners recited ‘Chaupai Sahib’ and ‘Japji Sahib’.

Plight of food and convenience

  • Food: Davinder told that he was given chips and juice only 5 times a whole day. The main meal included raw bread, rice, sweet corn and cucumber.
  • Cold killing: ACs were being run at very low temperatures at the detention center, but when they complained of the cold, the authorities did not respond.
  • Cleanliness problem: Bathing was allowed only twice in 18 days. They had to wear the same dirty clothes that were dirty during the journey.

Go to America in search of a better future, now regrets

Davinder Singh, who hails from Nagal Jalalpur village in Hoshiarpur district of Punjab, said that he had decided to go to America in search of a better life.
He started his long journey on 28 June, trying to reach America through many countries.

After losing 40 lakh rupees, back home, now father’s shop will handle

Davinder Singh said after his return,
“I spent around 40 lakh rupees in an attempt to go to America, but now I regret my mistake.”

Now he will work at his father’s electronic repair shop and will also tell others to the learning from his bitter experience so that he does not take such risky steps.
