The Chief Justice has constituted a three -member committee to investigate Justice Yashwant Verma. Justice Verma will not be able to do judicial work until the investigation is completed. It is alleged that cash was recovered from Justice Verma’s government residence. After this, he was accused of corruption. In the three -member committee constituted by Chief Justice Sanjeev Khanna, Justice Sheel Nagu, Justice GS. Sandhwalia and Justice Anu Shivraman. Chief Justice Khanna said that the investigation should be fair.

Delhi High Court investigation report was presented on Justice Yashwant Verma

Chief Justice of Delhi High Court D.K. Upadhyay has submitted a report to Chief Justice of India Sanjeev Khanna regarding the recovery of cash from Justice Yashwant Verma’s government residence. It is being told that Justice Upadhyay had started an internal investigation process to gather evidence and information related to the incident and submitted the report on Friday itself. Now the Supreme Court Collegium will investigate this report and then any action can be taken. It has been claimed that a large quantity of cash was found on the night of Holi on the night of Justice Verma’s Lutyens residence.

According to a report, in 2018, the CBI lodged an FIR against Justice Yashwant Verma in the case of irregularities in UP’s Simbhavali Sugar Mill. Justice Verma was the non-executive director of this Chinese company before becoming a judge of the Allahabad High Court in 2014.
