Bengaluru: The residents of the city are set to experience a Sunny Day on Thursday, March 20, 2025. The minimum and maximum temperatures are expected to be around 22 degrees Celsius, and 32 degrees Celsius. The city witnessed the Sunrise at 06:24 AM and the Sun is expected to set at 6:30 PM.
The weather department said that with a sharp rise in temperature, the city has become hotter than Delhi and Mumbai. Ainapur Hobli village in Kalaburagi has recorded 42.8 degrees Celsius, making it the hottest place in the state.
Today’s weather
The Air Quality Index (AQI) is expected to stand at 96, which indicates satisfactory air quality in the city and its surrounding areas. Today, the humidity is expected to be around 60 per cent and the wind is likely to flow from the Southeast at 14 km/h. Meanwhile, hot and humid conditions are likely to prevail in North Interior Karnataka.
The Karnataka State Natural Disaster Monitoring Centre (KSNDMC) shared a weather report for the next five days on X (formerly Twitter) and wrote, “Scattered moderate rain, accompanied by thunder, lightning and gusty wind speed of 30-40 kmph is likely to occur in coastal, hilly and south interior districts of the state today and across the state on March 22.”
Rainfall is predicted in these regions
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted rainfall in 12 districts of Karnataka, including Bengaluru, starting from March 23, 2025. While some parts of Bengaluru received rain last week, the city has witnessed a sharp rise in temperatures.
According to the weather department, rainfall is predicted in the following regions, including Tumakuru, Kolar, Hassan, Bengaluru’s rural and urban areas, Kodagu, Mandya, Mysuru, Ramanagara, Chikkamagluru, and Chikkaballapur, among others. However, dry weather is likely to persist in Udupi, Gadag, Uttara Kannada, Haveri, Kalaburagi, Koppal, Raichur, Vijayapura, Bidar, Bagalkote, Dharwad, and Yadgir districts of Karnataka.
