The minimum and maximum temperatures are expected to range from 21 degrees Celsius and 26 degrees Celsius, respectively.

A red alert has been issued in the state
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a yellow alert in the city and other 23 districts of Karnataka, including Bengaluru, till May 22, 2025. The weather department said that moderate rainfall is likely to occur with thunderstorms, lightning, and gusty winds reaching speeds of 50-60 km/h.
The rainfall is predicted in Bengaluru, Kolar, Chikkaballapur, Tumakuru, Mysuru, Hassan, Bidar, Chitradurga, Raichur, Yadgir, Belagavi, Mandaya, and Davangere. The weather department has issued red alert in coastal regions, North Interior Karnataka and South Interrior Karnataka.

Karnataka State Natural Disaster Monitoring Centre (KSNDMC) shared a weather report on X (formerly Twitter) for seven days and wrote, “Heavy rainfall with thunder and lightning is likely to occur at isolated places across the state today and tomorrow, #RedAlert has been issued by IMD. Heavy rainfall is likely in the remaining days.”
Cyclone in the Bay of Bengal is impacting Bengaluru’s weather
The weather department said that Bengaluru’weather is being influenced by cyclonic activity over the Southeast Bay of Bengal. According to the IMD, the cyclone in the Bay of Bengal has triggered widespread rainfall in the state. The weather department has asked residents to take precautions amid unstable weather conditions.

May 21: Light rain is forecasted for Wednesday with a partly cloudy sky. The humidity is also expected to be high at 91 per cent.
May 22: Cloudy skies and scattered showers are predicted for Thursday. The minimum and maximum temperatures will likely range between 21 degrees Celsius and 28 degrees Celsius, respectively.
