Lucknow: The residents of the city have been enjoying pleasant weather following heavy rainfall that impacted the capital of Uttar Pradesh on Wednesday, April 9, 2025. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has announced that the city is likely to experience light to moderate rainfall on Thursday, April 10.
According to the weather department, this rainfall is a result of a western disturbance. Prior to the rain, residents were dealing with extreme heat, with temperatures soaring to around 40 degrees Celsius in early April. The recent heavy rainfall has provided much-needed relief.

According to the weather department, the minimum and maximum temperatures are likely to be around 23 degrees Celsius and 37 degrees Celsius, respectively. The skies are expected to be partly cloudy, and it will remain the same throughout the day. The weather department said that light to moderate rainfall is predicted in numerous districts, including the western and eastern divisions of the state, today.
The series of rains will continue for the next two to three days, providing respite from the heatwave. The rainfall is likely to be accompanied by thunderstorms, lightning, and gusty winds. Today, the wind is expected to blow from the East at 14 km/h. The city woke up at 05:48 AM, and the sun is expected to set at 6:28 PM. The humidity is likely to range around 61 per cent.

Rainfall is predicted in these regions of Uttar Pradesh, including Lucknow, Meerut, Muzaffarnagar, Shamli, Saharanpur, Bijnor, Amroha, Moradabad, Rampur, Hardoi, Sitapur, Barabanki, Bareilly, Badaun, Sultanpur, Prayagraj, Varanasi, Ayodhya, Chandauli, Kushinagar, Ghazipur, and Sonbhadra, among others.
